What an OMN does
The grouped format makes an OMN quick to read and verify with the house. It stays consistent even if a member changes their display name or contact information.
Your OMN is the unique nine-digit reference tied to your Obsidian membership profile after approval.
It helps an authorized host or support specialist locate the correct membership record without relying on a display name.
It connects eligible invitations, member standing, and future Obsidian experiences to one consistent reference.
Important distinction
It is not issued by a government agency, is not a tax or credit identifier, and is not connected to a bank account.
Only use an OMN inside official Obsidian channels. Obsidian will never ask a member to use it as proof of government identity or to send it through an unverified third party.
